VINEYARDS
Trathen Hall sources fruit from organically and biodynamically farmed vineyards throughout the Willamette Valley. We value our close connection to these vineyards and the people that farm them, and we are honored to be a part of the respectful stewardship of the land that remains at the heart of the Oregon wine industry.
Antiquum Vineyard
This vineyard is owned by Stephen and Niki Hagen and is situated in the southern half of the Willamette Valley in the foothills of the Oregon coast range. Its relatively high elevation (800ft), sedimentary derived soils and livestock based farming methods help create a unique expression of Pinot Noir which harnesses elements of both power and elegance. We source a total of one acre of fruit comprised of clones 113, 115, 667 and Wädenswil.
ANA Vineyard
Ana Vineyard is located in the Dundee Hills AVA. Originally planted by Arthur and Vivian Weber in the mid 1970’s, and later purchased by the Hollorans in 2013, the own rooted vines are farmed biodynamically. Our fruit comes from a steep west facing section of the vineyard. These deep, volcanic, Jory soils produce wines that are based around a core of bright red fruit, soft, elegant tannins along with layers of saline and mineral complexity.
La Chenaie Vineyard
La Chenaie Vineyard is located in the southwest corner of the Eola-Amity Hills AVA. It is owned by Bill and Eve Holloran of Holloran Vineyard Wines and farmed organically. It is a source for both our Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc bottlings. Planted on volcanically derived soils, it sits at around 600 feet in elevation. It has both south and east facing aspects and exposure to the cooling effect of the Van Duzer corridor make it a later-ripening site. As far as the Sauvignon Blanc is concerned, we think that these volcanic, iron-rich soils are made for each other, and the Pinot Noir never fails to deliver classic Eola-Amity Hills AVA flavors.
Le Pavillon Vineyard
Le Pavillon is another jewel box vineyard owned by the Hollorans and farmed biodynamically. We were fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time for some of Le Pavillon’s Riesling to come our way. In the middle of the Dundee Hills AVA, these own rooted vines were planted in 1972 to two clones of Riesling, Geisenheim 110 and Colmar 813. The vineyard is just under 9 acres in size of which 1.55 acres consist of Riesling. The remaining acreage is planted to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
La Belle Promenade Vineyard
La Belle Promenade vineyard sits at approximately 800 feet elevation in the Chehalem Mountains AVA, just north of Newberg. Founder Marty Doerschlag and vineyard director Grant Coulter favor a sustainable approach to farming, opting for organic practices and dry-farming of the volcanic soils, and with the sites cooler micro-climate delicate flavors with vibrant acidity result in our Chardonnay from this newer vineyard in our portfolio.

Momtazi Vineyard
Momtazi vineyard was founded in 1997 by owners Moe and Flora Momtazi. Located in the McMinnville AVA, and formerly an abandoned wheat farm, it has been carefully and lovingly converted to a Biodynamic Demeter certified vineyard. The farm is 532 acres with 219 acres are planted to vines. It is geologically diverse with a number of soil types running through the property. Nekia and Yamhill are the primary soil series with veins of Jory and Peavine. Having both volcanic and sedimentary soils within the same property contribute to the wines complex allure.
