Ridgecrest Vineyard was established in 1982 and was the first vineyard to be planted in the Ribbon Ridge AVA.  The original vineyard was expanded in 2003 with a planting directly across the road from Ridgecrest Vineyard and named Wind Ridge Block. The fruit for this wine comes from this block, a half acre of clone 667 which sits at approximately 600 feet in elevation and slopes gently to the South.  In 2021 the clusters were clean, small, with balanced ripeness, and 30% whole cluster was used.  Fermentation was spontaneous/native as was ML, and the wine spent ten months élevage in neutral French oak barrels.
